Compounding
FM Plastics has been developing and producing her own compounds since the early 90s. We have built up a great deal of experience especially in resource efficiency and maintaining, adjusting or improving mechanical properties of materials. Currently we have compounding lines with 120.000 MT/PA at our disposal. Approximately a third of our capacity is in Europe, another third in East-Africa and the rest is in Asia and the Middle-East.
In the 1980s FM Plastics blended recycled and offspec materials with prime to reduce resource costs without sacrificing on any required characteristics of the material. We still offer prime compounds made of offspec, start-up and prime materials which offer our clients a great deal of savings financially whilst receiving a prime and reliable compound.
Since then we have moved into a great variety of high-end prime compounds that meet the highest possible standards for various industries. We offer our expertise and production capacity to produce compound formulations developed by our clients or exactly as certified by their end-users including prescribed ingredients and processing methods. We design and produce a great deal of high performance compounds for various industries and demanding end-uses ourselves. Including a 10.000 MT/PA clean room production capacity and specialty compounds for ultra high performance in the Oil & Gas, Infrastructure and Automotive industries.
In addition to our own compounding activities we also supply knowledge, technology and formulations for the production of compounds at our clients manufacturing site. If desired we can also ensure timely, safe and reliable delivery of additive packages, base polymers, masterbatches and required chemicals. For clients in remote locations and early emerging markets we have a great deal of technical expertise and resourcefulness readily available.
